June 2026 Newsletter

Happy June, y’all!

This marks the very first DIY Kingston Newsletter. I’ll be sending these out on the 1st of every month going forward to highlight upcoming shows and music releases that I think everyone in the Hudson Valley ought to know about.

Summer’s almost here, so it’s peak show season. Make sure you check out the June 2026 HV Show Calendar.

Here are my top 10 picks for June:

  • 6/2 – Silver Triplets of the Rio Hondo & Heaven – Tubby’s – Kingston (tickets)
  • 6/5 – The Big Takeover – The Falcon – Marlboro (free – donations encouraged)
  • 6/5 – Golem, Galene, Flatwaves, & Bad Bloom – No Fun – Troy (tickets at the door)
  • 6/6 – Groovepin – West Kill Supply – Kingston (free)
  • 6/10 – Ongoing – The Local – Saugerties (free – RSVP)

Keep in mind that the monthly show calendars are ongoing, living lists, so if you don’t see your show(s) on there, use the submission form and I’ll get it/them on there.

In case you missed ’em, here are the music reviews and interviews from last month. Definitely check out these bands/artists–listen to their new music, buy their albums, follow them on their socials.

Album Review: Tides & Rain – The Belle Curves
EP Review & Interview: Anti-Fascist Murder Ballads & Songs of Redemption – Conor Wenk
EP Review: Proof of Life – Blair Baldwin
Interview with Silver Triplets of the Rio Hondo

If you have an upcoming or recently released album/EP/single that you want a review written on or an interview conducted on, or if you’re in a touring band and want to showcase your upcoming show in the Hudson Valley, hit me up! I’ve been really digging getting back into writing in a way that helps fellow musicians. Maybe all the work I put into earning those writing degrees wasn’t all for naught after all. Check out the little blurb at the top the Music Reviews page, and then shoot me an email if you’re interested.

Get to the gigs!
